"I’m big on anti-bullying, and ever since the first movie, Randall was my favorite because I always liked the evil characters when I was younger. And while watching MU, my heart ached for Randall seeing him so shy and scared because it really hit close to home for me and my bullying. But then seeing him turn into evil Randall at the end of MU, made me go crazy because Pixar just did it so flawlessly."
What exactly did Randall do at the end of MU that was so “evil”? Dumping a bunch of stuffed TOYS on someone? OR was it getting upset because he was unfairly beaten by someone he thought was cheating, who actually DID turn out to be cheating? I mean, I’ve had to go with detectives to observe and record details of murder scenes for court presentations, so I think I’ve seen real evil, and I’m not sure how dumping toys on anyone or getting justifiably angry at someone and vowing not to be beaten by a cheater again is “evil”.
It’s my submission. I meant the ending of the Scare Games. It was just about seeing that small glimpse of Randall in the first movie because it was just a throwback to the first movie. That’s all. The picture was mod’s choice, not mine. The picture is a nice glimpse of MI Randall tho.
As for dumping the stuffed animals, is it harsh? Well yeah, Mike must of felt so betrayed; they did start off as friends. It’s not evil though, just harsh.
Now if YOU had been in Randall’s place, in the Scare Games, and your opponent did something that caused YOU to fall, to mess up, to lose…and you’d already known that he was a rich snot who had everyone kissing his butt just because of who he was, because of his family name, and you’d witnessed him provoking a fight in class that resulted in someone you still cared about being hurt, emotionally…how would YOU have reacted? Randall did not know, after all, that Sulley had not deliberately stomped the floor just to cause Randall to mess up, and based on Sullivan’s prior jerk-ass behavior, would it be unreasonable for Randall to assume that Sullivan had, in fact, cheated? That he’d lost to a cheater? Now if YOU thought that someone had beaten you, unfairly, and gotten away with it, what would your reaction be? Would you be “evil” if you got angry about that?
As for Mike, Mike didn’t show any signs of feeling “betrayed” by Randall. Mike didn’t care one way or the other, because Mike had not actually ever BEEN Randall’s friend. A “friendship” is a two-way street, with give and take on the part of both, and Mike was not willing to participate in the “give” aspect. He just was not interested in having anything more than a study partner. It could have been a complete stranger for all he cared, as long as they could help him study, help him achieve HIS goal. I don’t even think that Mike realized who, specifically, had dropped the toys on him and the other OK’s since Randall was off-stage at that time in the shadows. Mike just knew that JOHNNY was behind the whole thing, since he had to have heard Johnny give those orders to “release the stuffed animals”. Mike felt no loss whatsoever when Randall joined ROR, otherwise he’d have never let up on trying to win back that friend. Mike did not give up on anything he considered even a little bit important, and yet, he just lets Randall go without so much as a single mention of him afterward, no questioning him as to why, nothing. Mike just did not CARE, one way or the other, what happened with Randall. Their relationship had been pleasant, but they were still no more than just roommates when all was said and done, as only one of them ever desired for it to be a genuine friendship in the first place, to do the fun things that real friends do, and it wasn’t Mike. If anyone felt betrayed, it would have been RANDALL; he tried to be friends with Mike, giving of HIS time to help Mike study so Mike could achieve his goal. We see NOTHING that Mike does for Randall, other than some questionable advice about losing his glasses, never mind that Randall needed them to see! Mike doesn’t want to go to parties, does not want to hang out with him in any way that does not involve studying, what MIKE wants, in other words. What Randall wanted did not matter. And then, Randall sees that Mike IS willing to go to parties and hang out with Sullivan, and the other OK’s, which must have made him question why they were good enough to be Mike’s friends, but he wasn’t.

Why can’t things ever be perfect…
Sometimes you just have to let go.
Move on and pick up whatever pieces you have left. For me time machine was a song that opened my imagination. What if I could go back and fix what’s broken. What if I could go back to those memories of when we would stay up all…
